Biography
Kevin Miller takes the ancient tradition of papercutting to a new direction while not forgetting the rich stories that blade, scissors, and paper have made throughout the centuries. His work has been described as "Quirky, endearing, cool and unsettling - all at the same time," and combines unique portraits and landscapes with lines that change constantly from thick to thin.
Kevin's large-scale installations have been featured in the San Jose Museum of Art and the CSU Monterey Bay Día de los Muertos exhibits, and he has participated in many group and solo shows on the Monterey peninsula. He is currently working on evolving his knitting into the realm of plaything sculptures that blend the poses and expressions of sculpture witht the squishyness of stuffed animals.
Statement
Kevin Miller doesn't like to write statements because he really has nothing to say. There, I said it.
